Babies are always a blessing, but it seems extra special when they come after years of hope.

This momma is extra special to me because she is helping me raise one of my own babies... okay he is a fur baby, but I love him almost as much as my human babies.

When Megan from Poochies Comox Valley told me about her long road to getting this healthy happy little muffin, I was BEYOND excited for her session.

Normally in a 3 month session, we just hope to get a shot of baby looking at the camera, my photographer friend Beth from Beth W photography says "eye contact is the goal, but a smile is a gift" with 3 month old sessions. Not only did we get eye contact and smiles, but she also FELL ASLEEP!!! and we got those "sleepy baby" photos I love so much.

I was so thrilled when this gorgeous momma told me she was coming back to BC, specifically to my Comox Valley Photo Studio, for her daughter's Cake smash! This was the third session I had done for these guys, which is AMAZING considering they live on the other side of the country. 

Mom told me she wanted a girly floral themed cake smash, and we completely ran with that! 

It's she beautiful! One of my favourite things  is to add a milk bath to the end of a cake smash session. Little known secret in the baby photography industry... not all babies, in fact many babies... don't like cake. but basically every baby loves a nice warm bath <3

Milestone session <3 Also known (by me) as "tiny session" capturing your little one, as they are.

Until about the age of two babies faces, expressions, personality is constantly changing, monthly! But about 2 you can kind of see the person they are becoming, but before that, its a constant surprise! (this is my professional theory lol)

I love when parents bring their babies in for these simple baby photography sessions.
