Vancouver All Stars South - Bellaphoto - Tsawwassen

Sooo.. I jumped in, took the plunge.. For years I have wanted to attempt to shoot video, and this was my first shot. 

I was so honored when the director of Vancouver All Stars South Cheer and Tumbling asked me if I would be interested in doing a promo video for the gym.

My daughter's have been part of this amazing organization for 2 years, and I jumped at the change.
The gym is located in Tsawwassen BC, and it's like a second home to my girls.

Today competitive cheer does NOT mean pom poms and football players....

I always try my hardest to give parents an image that is important to them for their newborn session.

This time, momma really wanted a shot of baby with hit eyes open.... That can be a challenge

to say the least. Depending on baby... 90% of the time baby is cross eyed, scrunchy face, or just straight up crying.

10% of the time we get this.

BOOM!

It's almost like he was ready for it.

EEKKK i think i have found a new love. I have always done family lifestyle sessions, but never a newborn. This was such a fun session, all about capturing the connections.
AND!!! it took place in my Tsawwassen photo studio! This is something you may see more of ;)

The softness of their skin, their beautiful smell, those puffy lips... It's hard to convey in a single image how perfect your new baby is.

I am excited to announce I am now offering video birth announcements! This is an amazing way for family and friends to experience a small piece of the love you are feeling for your baby. 

For the month of April, all newborns booked will receive a free video birth announcement.

Spring baby - Bellaphoto - Tsawwassen family photography

It's funny.. because I think in almost every post I write how this was one of my favorite session.. this again, was a good one :)

Mom and dad had visited my Tsawwassen photo studio a few months previous for their maternity mini session, and now were back with baby boy! 

Now for the session.. well... it's almost spring! I was so inspired by the season, that I was on a hunt for mint.. It's such a springy color.. but alas.. i couldn't find anything that I LOVED.. so I made it! Just in time for this lovely little boy's newborn session. I dyed some wool, knit some hats. I adore the way this turned out.

Tsawwassen baby photography- L is 1! -

This session was VERY special to me, as little L was one of my first newborns when I decided I wanted to specialize in newborn and family photography, and opened and in home studio in Tsawwassen BC.

Not only was she one of my first newborns, she was my FIRST session in my NEW awesome Tsawwassen photo studio. 

It was an exciting year for me and I am so happy this family could be a part of it.

M family baby bump - Tsawwassen BC

Another beautiful momma to be (and daddy to be) visited  me last week in my Tsawwassen studio.
I love being able to capture that spark you have in pregnancy, the excitement of what is to come. It also doesn't hurt when momma and daddy are  gorgeous! I can't wait to photograph their new babe :)

A blustery day in the 100 acre wood - Tsawwassen BC

These people.. I love these people. Unfortunately, after moving to opposite sides of the lower mainland, and you know.. kids... we just don't get to spend as much time together as I wish we could.

How I miss watching weekly top model episodes with Mikey.. and his ever present impressive supply of costco cream puffs.

But sadly... things change, but one thing that does change, it I get my twice years family session in with this cool bunch.

This year, they took the trek all the way from North Vancouver, to Tsawwassen for their family photo session! Even 100 km/hr winds weren't going to stop us.

I love the ease of their outfits, simple, but color popping that really adds depth. Big brother G is one of my favorite little boys ever. look at the hair, eyes, smile.. heart stopping :)

Tsawwassen Newborn Photographer - baby party!

I had SUCH a cool weekend!

For the past 2 years I have been part of an amazing online photography group, the ladies (mostly ladies) are SO cool, helpful, supportive,  funny, all around awesome.

I actually tend to talk to many of these girls more than I talk to my IRL friends.

A few months ago I was chatting with Lindsey Williams about how close we are, her living in Portland Oregon, and Me living in Ladner BC.

We joked around how we should get together and do a few sessions... and that is EXACTLY what we  did!!

3 babies, and SO MUCH POOP later, we were able to capture some gorg. shots in my Tsawwassen studio.

Not only did we totally photo nerd out. we also did a ton of knitting and watching terrible Kristen Stewart movies :)

All in all an awesome weekend.

Tsawwassen family photography || The B family- Bellaphoto

Wow.. my first blog post in months.. I guess being too busy to blog is a good thing right ;)

When picking images, I usually have a few favorites I like to feature, this whole session was my favorite. It was cold, windy, cloudy, even so, everything came together (in my eyes) magically. I love this Tsawwassen location for family photography.

It also doesn't hurt that is family is ridiculously good looking, AND mom has a wicked fashion sense. Though clothing choices don't "make" the image, they definitely play a part in setting the mood for the session. Less talk, more Rock, check out one of my new fav sessions.
