Tsawwassen maternity photographer - H - Bellaphoto

I have a new love. Studio maternity session!
These always made me a bit nervous before, I think because I wasn't sure of what the client would wear, would it match my decor? Would the lighting look okay....
Ever since switching to studio light in my Tsawwassen studio,  it's SOOO much easier to control.
I can make the session look like what it does in my head.
Also, a huge change is I have been slowly but surly collecting pieces of maternity clothing to

add to my studio wardrobe.
Now all momma has to do it show up!
I take care of the rest!

Oh my goodness. Isn't this one of the most perfect little faces you have ever see? I had so much fun with this session!

Not only were mom and dad super awesome (*any dad that brings me coffee wins*) but seeing the love they had on their face for their tiny baby girl. GAH! it made my heart melt <3

A blustery day in the 100 acre wood - Tsawwassen BC

These people.. I love these people. Unfortunately, after moving to opposite sides of the lower mainland, and you know.. kids... we just don't get to spend as much time together as I wish we could.

How I miss watching weekly top model episodes with Mikey.. and his ever present impressive supply of costco cream puffs.

But sadly... things change, but one thing that does change, it I get my twice years family session in with this cool bunch.

This year, they took the trek all the way from North Vancouver, to Tsawwassen for their family photo session! Even 100 km/hr winds weren't going to stop us.

I love the ease of their outfits, simple, but color popping that really adds depth. Big brother G is one of my favorite little boys ever. look at the hair, eyes, smile.. heart stopping :)

Tsawwassen Newborn Photographer - baby party!

I had SUCH a cool weekend!

For the past 2 years I have been part of an amazing online photography group, the ladies (mostly ladies) are SO cool, helpful, supportive,  funny, all around awesome.

I actually tend to talk to many of these girls more than I talk to my IRL friends.

A few months ago I was chatting with Lindsey Williams about how close we are, her living in Portland Oregon, and Me living in Ladner BC.

We joked around how we should get together and do a few sessions... and that is EXACTLY what we  did!!

3 babies, and SO MUCH POOP later, we were able to capture some gorg. shots in my Tsawwassen studio.

Not only did we totally photo nerd out. we also did a ton of knitting and watching terrible Kristen Stewart movies :)

All in all an awesome weekend.

Bailey is my internet BFF and seriously one of the most talented and creative ladies around. Bailey and her partner Jennifer are running a stunningly gorgeous newborn photography studio right in the heart of Ashland Ohio.

This is the kinda baby that makes you want more. Seriously she was perfect, her little eyes didn't even open once during the session. Seeing her parents light up at every little movement she made, is THE reason I do this job. <3

This session!!!
These have to be some of my favorite sibling sessions of all time! Big sis is 7, so she was more than happy to hold her baby sister. Little-big sis was so happy to smile for the camera, add that beautiful bundle in to the mix. sigh.. perfection.

Baby D ~ Ladner Newborn photography

Had such an awesome time with this little (big) monkey! I think he was one of my biggest and strongest newbies to date! At moments when he woke up during the session he would attempt to lift himself up a'la tummy time.

I got a chance to see him again today, and he is quite the strapping young man already.. at 1 month old.
