This ^^^ This is why extended family session are so so so important. I love extended family sessions, and capturing the littles with the bigs, the older with the newer. It makes my heart happy.

This was such a fun session, not only was everyone STUNNING, they all had the best senses of humor and totally laughed at my lame lame jokes. Even thought it was pretty chilly in Tsawwasen, I think the laughing helped keep us warm. <3

6 months is such an awesome age for a session! They are usually sitting up, but aren't crawling, and basically everything we do is interesting to them.
I couldn't help but squeal with delight when mom and dad brought this sweet girl in to my Tsawwassen studio, and I saw that she was a ginger!!  Her hair, with her eyes... she is just perfect!

A blustery day in the 100 acre wood - Tsawwassen BC

These people.. I love these people. Unfortunately, after moving to opposite sides of the lower mainland, and you know.. kids... we just don't get to spend as much time together as I wish we could.

How I miss watching weekly top model episodes with Mikey.. and his ever present impressive supply of costco cream puffs.

But sadly... things change, but one thing that does change, it I get my twice years family session in with this cool bunch.

This year, they took the trek all the way from North Vancouver, to Tsawwassen for their family photo session! Even 100 km/hr winds weren't going to stop us.

I love the ease of their outfits, simple, but color popping that really adds depth. Big brother G is one of my favorite little boys ever. look at the hair, eyes, smile.. heart stopping :)

I had SUCH a cool weekend!

For the past 2 years I have been part of an amazing online photography group, the ladies (mostly ladies) are SO cool, helpful, supportive,  funny, all around awesome.

I actually tend to talk to many of these girls more than I talk to my IRL friends.

A few months ago I was chatting with Lindsey Williams about how close we are, her living in Portland Oregon, and Me living in Ladner BC.

We joked around how we should get together and do a few sessions... and that is EXACTLY what we  did!!

3 babies, and SO MUCH POOP later, we were able to capture some gorg. shots in my Tsawwassen studio.

Not only did we totally photo nerd out. we also did a ton of knitting and watching terrible Kristen Stewart movies :)

All in all an awesome weekend.

This session was special to me for so many reasons
1. This is a wonderful friend of mine that I have known since out first children were tiny.. and then we had our second littles, and they quickly became best friends.... and then she suddenly beat me by having a 3rd!

2. This was my last session in my Ladner studio, before moving to my new Tsawwassen photo studio! I was a little sad to say goodbye to this space, but ready for a change!

I was so excited to have big brother and sister in studio, I could see how much they already loved him at only a few days old! Big brother was a little hesitant that baby maaaay poop on him, but he quickly promised he would not throw babe if in fact he did let loose.

I think this is one of my favorite sibling shots.. like.. ever.

I have decided to start a new Tuesday tradition! I would like to call it Shout out Tuesdays, where I feature some of my fave photog buddies!

Of course today I had to start with my girl Bailey at Jennley Studios!

Bailey is my internet BFF and seriously one of the most talented and creative ladies around. Bailey and her partner Jennifer are running a stunningly gorgeous newborn photography studio right in the heart of Ashland Ohio. 

Ashland is lucky to have talent like this!

Back to school minis!|| Bellaphoto|| Tsawwassen children's photography|| Tsawwassen BC||

These are one of my favorite sessions of the year!!
I think I would be perfectly content in life if all I did was taking photos of gorgeous 5-8 year olds. Seriously. Best ever.

Don't get me wrong, I loves me some babies, but there is something about this age, it's almost like they haven't had the insecurities of the world placed on them yet, they KNOW they are awesome.

Even though school.. might not be on for a while.. I was so happy to have these "Back to school minis"!

As you can see, my love of all things vintage, spilled over in to this set.. as per the usual.

This time, the majoirty of my set came from my awesome friend Brittany at Painted with Love. Brittany has an amazing eye for vintage treasures, and with some guidence I was able to use a product from her shop, Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint, to update this old ladder in to  an amazing prop!  If you want to learn how to make your own vintage gems, check out PWL's classes HERE.
