These are one of my favorite sessions of the year!!
I think I would be perfectly content in life if all I did was taking photos of gorgeous 5-8 year olds. Seriously. Best ever.

Don't get me wrong, I loves me some babies, but there is something about this age, it's almost like they haven't had the insecurities of the world placed on them yet, they KNOW they are awesome.

Even though school.. might not be on for a while.. I was so happy to have these "Back to school minis"!

As you can see, my love of all things vintage, spilled over in to this set.. as per the usual.

This time, the majoirty of my set came from my awesome friend Brittany at Painted with Love. Brittany has an amazing eye for vintage treasures, and with some guidence I was able to use a product from her shop, Miss Mustard Seed's milk paint, to update this old ladder in to  an amazing prop!  If you want to learn how to make your own vintage gems, check out PWL's classes HERE.

I am SO SO SO SO excited to share this session! I even have some things to write about it! :)

When discussing locations with this family, momma had mentioned she had a friend "with a farm" and we could shoot there.

What she should have said is, "I have a friend with an AMAZING FLOWER FARM, with the most beautiful spots you have ever SEEN"... 

But instead. I headed to the location thinking, okay, grass, tall grass, maybe a tractor, possibly a barn.

My heart stopped.

BEST!!!!!

My photog buddies will know exactly what I mean.

Now don't even bother trying to find this top secret, off the map, location, it's not open to the public, and this was basically a once in a life time opportunity, and I am so glad I got it!!

On to the family.
This was such a fun session, I love seeing little girls get dirty, and big sis can get dirty with the best of them!
I can't wait to photography baby number 3 in the coming weeks! #3under3

This is the kinda baby that makes you want more. Seriously she was perfect, her little eyes didn't even open once during the session. Seeing her parents light up at every little movement she made, is THE reason I do this job. <3

WOW....
umm wow...

I was overjoyed to hear that my gorgeous friend was expecting not one, but two beautiful bundles of squishy joy. I was also over the moon that they had asked me to shoot a maternity session with them. I have known this lady since grade 5, and as far back as I can remember, she was ravishing. The glow that pregnancy has brought her as only enhanced that.

The chemistry between these two is undeniable. She makes pregnancy look sexy.

I can't wait to see what their kids look like.

This session!!!
These have to be some of my favorite sibling sessions of all time! Big sis is 7, so she was more than happy to hold her baby sister. Little-big sis was so happy to smile for the camera, add that beautiful bundle in to the mix. sigh.. perfection.

The E family Beach session - Ladner family photography

This is the second time I had to opportunity to photograph these beautiful boys! This time it was a family beach session. I am absolutely obsessed with their blonde hair and dark eyes. I love shooting in high grass fields, but it was such a treat to be able to switch things up a bit. I have also been falling in love with moody black and white images, and I think these boys were the perfect little people to display it.

Baby D ~ Ladner Newborn photography

Had such an awesome time with this little (big) monkey! I think he was one of my biggest and strongest newbies to date! At moments when he woke up during the session he would attempt to lift himself up a'la tummy time.

I got a chance to see him again today, and he is quite the strapping young man already.. at 1 month old.
