On of my favorite summer hangout spots is the Oyster River! Right under the Oyster River bridge.  I was stoked to be able to capture this super fun family session in Black Creek.

Collab with Lily B's AND Sony A7iii - Comox Valley baby photographer - bellaphoto

Since I started newborn photography I have always had a secret goal.... I felt that you had truly "made it" when a vendor asked you to photograph their products. So i was BEYOND overjoyed when

 Lily B's asked to do a collab with me. I had just the baby in mind, Baby Kenzie! Not only is she the CUTEST but she also lives a few block away from me in Black Creek! 

The really exciting thing about this session was it was my first session shooting on my new Sony A7iii. I will do a whole blog about this but dang I am in love. 

These bonnets were so cute and fit amazingly well, I Can't wait to work with Lily B's in the future! 

Harry Potter Cake Smash - Courtenay BC- Bellaphoto

Anyone who knows me in real life know I am giant nerd. Our family live and breathes Harry Potter, so when I was approached to do a Slytherin themed cake smash I was BEYOND excited. The funny thing is the majority of these props are things we had kicking around the house, again nerds.

I was also blown away by this cauldron cake from Annie's Custom cakes. She nailed in! And little Draco *not his real name, but come on.....  was amazing!

The best part about having a commercial newborn photography studio on 5th street in Courtenay is the options. In my heart I LOVE posed newborn photography, babies in buckets are my jam. But for family and sibling posing I love lifestyle. In my studio I am able to give the option of both a lifestyle and posed session all in one. The reason this session is one of my favourites in the interaction between the siblings. The ease of lifestyle gives me the ability to just capture the love between them instead of "LOOK AND SMILE!!!" but then once dad took them out the park, I was able to pose their baby brother in all the cute props.
